4. Data Collection on This Website

Cookies

Our website uses so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until automatic deletion by your web browser takes place.

Cookies can originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to evaluate user behaviour or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyse website usage. The data obtained from this is used to optimise our website and advertising measures.

Google Analytics is provided to us by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes the data on website usage on our behalf and contractually undertakes to take measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the processed data.

During your website visit, the following data, among others, is transmitted to Google:

  • Pages visited
  • The achievement of "website goals"
  • Your behaviour on the pages (for example dwell time, clicks, scroll depth)
  • Your approximate location (country and city)
  • Your internet address (IP address)
  • Technical information such as browser, internet provider, device and screen resolution
  • The source of your visit (i.e. which website or which advertising medium brought you to us)
  • A randomly generated user ID

No personal data such as name, address or contact details is transmitted to Google Analytics.

This data is transferred to Google servers in the USA. We would like to point out that in the USA the same level of data protection as within the EU cannot be guaranteed.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID with which you can be recognised on future website visits.

The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which enables the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remains stored in aggregated form indefinitely.

If you do not agree with the collection, you can prevent it by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics once, or by rejecting the cookies via our cookie settings dialog.
